Summer Salad by the Sea

I took a drive up to Gloucester yesterday.

Let me sum up what Gloucester means to me in three words:

1. Ocean

2. Delicious food.

My Mother is a master salad-crafter. In this particular beauty were lettuce, cucumbers and purple pepper from her garden, a tomato from the Richmond Farmer’s Market, blueberries from North Ferrisberg, VT, almonds, yellow beans and a few mozz balls. She even made dressing with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a little mustard and a dash of maple syrup. A local-ish, summery salad if there ever was one!

Beautiful and delicious!

What are YOU eating for lunch today?
