{A Vision Board Re-Post} Snow Day Project!

I’m a very visual person. A visual, hands on person. I still keep a paper “to-do” list (that M makes fun of me for every day), I have a paper workout log, and I keep paper files for ler business.

I like to see everything laid out in front of me. I like to color code with my Jelly Belly pens from high school, and my stolen technicolor highlighters.

I also like to create.

Last year, I started the tradition of making a vision board. A piece of paper onto which I paste other pieces of paper, that reminds me of my goals for the year.

It reminds me of my goals, and helps me to stay motivated.

The post below talks about the process that I used last year. I’ve started working on next year’s board and I can’t wait to share it with ya’ll!

Do you make a vision board? What is the most important thing for you to include on your board?

One of the great things about working at an institute of higher learning is that I get SNOW DAYS!! I stayed up late watching the news crossing my fingers that work was canceled. Around 10:30pm last night my school popped up– SNOW DAY! WHEEEE!

It is legit a blizzard outside right now. We have over a foot (as far as I can tell) and it isn’t supposed to stop until tonight!

Due to the snow and the home-boundness of my situation, I decided to finish up a little project I’ve been working on.

My Inspiration Board.

I originally got this idea from Gina, Fitnessista. It’s a visual representation of the things I want to do, be and have in the new year. I want to make change, be fearless, train better, eat healthy and live my life to the fullest!

It also has positive reminders, like “You can do it!” and “The odds are in your favor” to keep me thinking about reaching my goals…because sometimes I need some positive reinforcement.

My happy paleo man reminds me to stay primal and eat whole, real foods. Yay!

Pictures of healthy food inspire me to keep eating healthy!

I’m going to put this up in a place where I can see it every day so that it can be a constant reminder of where I want to be in 2011!

How are you visualizing your goals for the new year?

I LOVE that inspiration board! I’m moving this weekend, and my new room is much larger than the one I’m currently in, so I’ve been brainstorming ways to cover the walls. Love this idea!

Thanks, Sara! I think it would be really cool to make a giant inspiration wall! You could even paint a mural if you are artistically inclined!
