{Winter Resilience Detox} Paleo Snack Mix

Day 3 of the Winter Resilience Detox and I need me some healthy fats.

I’m finding that I don’t include enough fat at meals– cooking veggies in coconut oil and serving them with chicken (aka the leanest meat on the planet) just ain’t cutting it.

So I decided to whip up some snack mix. Nothing special, just some healthy fats and a little dried fruit.

In a small bowl combine:

A big handful of unsweetened coconut flakes,

a closed handful of raw almonds,

and an even closier handful of dried cranberries (Mine were apple juice infused.)

Mix together and EAT.

That’s it!

What else would you include in your Paleo Snack Mix?

    What else would I (do I) put into my Paleo Snack Mix? Dark chocolate and pumpkin seeds! Yum!

      YUM! I love the combination of dark chocolate and coconut! When I’m not Whole-food-cleansing, I like to put some dark chocolate chips in there too!

    Sounds yummy! Even though I *believe* in eating a lot of good fats I still don’t consume enough. I do the exact same thing — coconut oil, veggies, and chicken (or beef). So I stay hungry. 🙁
    Gotta make an effort to get more fat in! A snack mix sounds like a compelling way to get there!

      Thanks, Jaffney! Yeah, fat is so important…and it’s sometimes surprisingly hard to get a good amount of healthy fat in your day…
