{Friday Musings} I ran a race and I didn’t die.

Last weekend we ran the Harpoon 5-Miler.

Every year, Harpoon holds a five mile race to benefit the Angel Fund, which funds ALS research.

We ran as a team.

Team Frisky Lemon.

Our Co-Ed team came in 12th out of 186 co-ed teams apparently.

It’s probably because my sister is fast. She finished literally 10 minutes ahead of me, and actually won something.

I placed 1111th overall with a 40:57,  which I’m pretty happy about as I was yawning like a crazy person before the race started.  1111 is a lucky number, right?

We all ended up running by ourselves for the most part. I went without headphones, and just kept repeating to myself “I’m running my own race. I’m running my own race.”

It was super sunny and there was not a cloud in the sky.

I got a sun burn.

But I was happy.

The end.
