My Healthy Pantry Essentials

While browsing the interwebs, I came across a post on the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (R) Blog about Healthy Pantry Essentials.

What a great idea, I thought.

And then I decided to share my healthy pantry essentials with you (lucky!).

First, let me say that I go grocery shopping about twice a week. Why? Because I’m bad at meal planning and I’m forgetful/easily distracted.

I’ll make a list of everything I need, but leave my list at home because I set it down on the coffee table to run to the kitchen to get reusable bags.

Or I’ll forget to put things on the list in the first place. It happens all the time. All the time.

Anyway. These are the things that you might find in my kitchen at any given time ideal world where I didn’t forget everything.

Room Temperature Produce





Sweet Potatoes

Peaches or Apples (depending on the season)



Refrigerated Produce



Olivia’s Spring Mix

Baby Spinach





Frozen Produce


Brussels sprouts

Green beans


Meats in the Freezer

Ground beef

Steak tips


Bacon (backup bacon)

Bone Broth

Grass fed beef bones (for making into broth)

Meats in the Fridge

Eggs (2 doz at all times)


Ground beef




Unrefined, virgin coconut oil

Kerrygold Butter for spreading (salted)

Unsalted butter for cooking

Almond butter




Raw Honey

Maple Syrup (grade B for baking)

Mixed nuts

Unsweetened coconut flakes

Dark Chocolate 70%+

Coconut milk

Green tea for kombucha

Herbal tea for drinking and gello

Just Blueberry Juice for kombucha

Coconut flour

Plantain chips (of course)


That’s a peek inside my pantry. Well, my ideal pantry– aka all of the things I would have in my house at all times in an ideal world.

    You basically listed every one of my staples. I just have less on hand at all times and go to the store 3-4 times a week. All good stuff 🙂
