Now that I’m done with my Nutritional Reset, I’m only going to write about sweets, sweets and more sweets.
Kidding.
But they’ve kind of been on my brain since last week.
When I made pumpkin butter cups.
It was more the chocolate than the pumpkin butter.
I liked the chocolate so much that I bought little candy molds and made me some Sea Salted Coconut Oil Chocolates.
YUM.
You can find the recipe on the fantastic Civilized Caveman Cooking Creations a la George Bryant. I got it from his pumpkin butter cup recipe.
I just made the Caveman’s “homemade chocolate” recipe and sprinkled sea salt to each mold before I poured the chocolate.
It was SO easy: they literally took 5 minutes to prep and 30 minutes to chill in the fridge.
The perfect balance of sweet and salty.
So you just used the homemade chocolate recipe and added salt?
Yep! That’s exactly what I did!
I’m going to try these I love dark chocolate and sea salt.
I like every single word in the recipe title. These look lovely!
I made the chocolate but didn’t have candy molds (or the patience to wait for it to “cool” really!) so I threw some frozen blueberries in the bowl of liquid chocolate and it instantly froze to the blueberries. YUM! A delicious and quick treat. 🙂
That sounds delicious! OoooO! What if you made fresh blueberry bark? You could pour the liquid chocolate onto a tray lined with parchment paper and then throw in some blueberries and nuts…you just gave me a great idea! 😉
