Be Mindful of Your (Kid’s) Halloween Candy…

The Halloween Candy finally made it into my house last Friday after we took my son Trick or Treating at Dada’s office.

And I’ve been eating it ever since. 

It’s sad when you look into your child’s Halloween bucket and realize that you’ve eaten ALL of the good candy…and then you find yourself getting excited for actual Halloween when he’ll get more…so you can eat more after he goes to bed…

There’s nothing wrong with Halloween Candy. It’s one of those foods that makes me feel happy and I believe it’s important to have a good balance of foods that make you feel happy in your diet.

But when you realize that you’re already plotting what candies you’re going to eat on Halloween night after kid bedtime like an evil villain (muahahaha!), it’s time to reevaluate.

This is one of the reasons I’m running the Pre-Holiday Nutritional Reset starting the day after Halloween: to reexamine the balance between the foods that make me feel happy and the foods that make me feel good physically.
